CUA Go-Green Campaign Focuses on Recycling at the Pryz

The University stepped up its recycling efforts on Sept. 23 by placing new receptacles in the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center for food waste and other compostable material as well as recyclables and landfill waste. Student volunteers wearing "Go Green" shirts were on hand to help members of the community learn what materials belong in each bin. The new receptacles are part of an effort by the Office of Facilities Operations to expand recycling and further decrease landfill waste on campus. Compostable materials include any food waste and paper napkins. Materials that can be disposed of in recycling bins across campus include not only paper waste, but also aluminum, glass, and most plastics. (Photos by Ed Pfueller)
