The annual Posada Party was held on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 2, for local children. La Posada is a tradition originating in Latin America that dramatizes the search by Joseph and Mary for lodging. The procession began in McGivney Hall and ended in the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center Food Court for the party. Participating children were welcome to dress in costume for the procession, sing songs, and take part in activities. This was followed by a live nativity on the Pryzbyla lawn. The event was hosted by Campus Ministry, Students on the Mount, and Latin Alliance. (Photos by Ed Pfueller)

Athletes from many of the University’s sports teams took part in a spiritual retreat at Camp St. Charles in Southern Maryland during the weekend of Nov. 16, 17, and 18. The retreat, coming between seasons for many of the teams, allowed the athletes some down-time to reconnect with their own faith, enjoy the fall weather, and make new friends at the same time. The students participated in small group discussion and reflection, and prayed the Rosary and attended Mass together. They also enjoyed team-building exercises on a ropes challenge course and other activities on the grounds along the Wicomico River and Charleston Creek. (Photos by Ed Pfueller)
